  1. In preparation of the begin of the next D&D campaign I used the character generation book "Central Casting - Heroes of Legend". I rolled a character with a very grim dark background. Parents murdered, adopted by a poor religious fanatic woman with brain damage, got in love at a young age but the loved one was killed by her family because the love was disapproved, the next love at a young age killed herself because she was pressured by someone else and thus haunts the pressurer, was cursed by a witch with bad luck, got a professional rival who uses physical violence to harm the character, the only friend is a smartass, character lost a hand in an accident, was framed a murder to a prostitute but was innocent, works in organised crime and was kicked out of the military.
I need to reroll a new character background.

      1. @techdisk Yeah... it's too dark and I'm not willing to play an emo character. I rolled a new, less grim dark, character background. The character is an illegitimate born child of a prostitute (mother changed profession to farmer), no siblings, born on another plane with a curse and lost the left hand after birth in an accident, inherits some money at young age, a fairy blessed the character with great artistic skills but was also cursed with clutziness, mother is missing probably murdered, best friend killed in self-defense, a prince adopted the character as a teenager, the prince used him to perform treason against the king, character fell in love with a wardsmaiden (1 child), left the prince after 5 years.
That character building book and my dice are strange.
