If anyone is interested in Wii homebrew, all of the Mother games are completely playable on the Wii via a fan-made port-collection that you can install on a softmodded Wii. I will not link it, because of filthy piracy reasons, but it's a cool thing that you can Google if you wanna.

@bobo It's actually crazy easy to mod a wii. Mine's modded.
-
@bobo Also, if you install it on your Wii U's virtual Wii, you can boot up Mother 3 and pretend that Nintendo loves you and that they didn't neglect Mother 3.
-
@bobo THEY TOTALLY DON'T HATE US, RIGHT? PLEASE?
-
@techdisk Mine's modded, as well. However, my cats chewed through my sensor bar, because they're cats.
-
@techdisk "C'mon, Reggie, give us Mother 3!"
-
@bobo I modded mine just before doing the system transfer, which meant that I could do a full system backup.
-
@bobo When Nintendo deleted everything after transferring, I simply restored my Wii and had everything back. :P
-
@bobo It's funny. Sensor bars don't do any sensing whatsoever. The wire is just power to two groups of infrared LEDs, which the wiimote senses and decides where it's pointing at from.
-
@techdisk Which is why most third party ones are wireless, since you don't need to license or fake a power connector that can simply be replaced by batteries.
-
@techdisk Yeah but constantly replacing batteries for parts of your non-portable console gets old
-
@redenchilada True.
