    2. @metaltao I knew a guy who served in the Paraguayan army and he'd laugh about the US Rangers they did training exercises with, since apparently they were too buff and didn't have enough space in the jeeps' gunner positions to move their arms efficiently.

          1. @metaltao my grandpa is actually in the Military History books because his group had to lie down in a field for like 5 days while Viet Cong walked around them, like close enough for mud to splatter.

            1. @rarity FrankerZing Aye. That is... Wow. The only Analogue I have for that would be that scene in the first ModernWarfare where you had to navigate yourself around Russian military as they walked over and around you.
mango, I never would have thought I would hear anything like that with legitimacy to it.
Sorry for the freak out, I just held my breathe for a bit as I read...

        3. @rarity Huh. Your family must have had children at a young age if your grandfather was young enough to serve in Vietnam.

          1. @nerthos they were hicks from Mississippi and Arkansas. My grandmother had my mom when she was 14, and I was born when my mom was 21.

            1. @rarity Oh. That makes sense. My grandfathers were both born in the '20s
