@shantae I haven't been able to play it for a few weeks now ever since my brother took the Wii U to his new house, but before he did my level was around the late 20s. I may be able to play a bit this weekend though, which'll be really fun.

@shantae You think so? For me Splatoon actually got me back into playing video games, before it came out I was hardly playing any games at all and was generally kind of bored of the medium.

@northernnarwhal It got me out of just playing that game. I don't see the appeal to it, so I just went back to other games, doesn't help more appealing games to me are coming out month after month. This year plus next year is a good time for me

@shantae Well games are really just another medium that we approach with preferences and biases, so it's not unreasonable to assume we both go into a game with different underlying priorities of what we hope to get out of that game. I thought Splatoon was a uniquely designed shooter with fantastic gameplay pacing and vibrant aesthetic flourishes, so it certainly had a lot going from the get-go to draw me in as a player. Even though it's not inherently "my kind" of game, I think it does what it sets out to do really damn well and I've had a lot of fun playing it.
