  1. I have been fighting blender's internal rendering engine for about a day now and have come to a conclusion.
Its cannot render anything that requires thought, i have to render every frame as an image and then add it back in as a sequence to render the video... Whhhhhhy...

    1. @l1ghtsword Use Cycles, it works way faster and looks nicer.

      1. @mrmattimation While it might, what is the average file size? That 20k+ folder is like 19.4 Gb...

        1. @l1ghtsword That's 'cause you're rendering bitmaps. Render H.264 MP4s, about 10mbps.

          1. @mrmattimation I render the video in H.264, the frames are first rendered as .png's

            1. @l1ghtsword Cut out the middle man and render the video straight from Blender. Rendering 20K bitmaps is ridiculous and unnecessary.

              1. @mrmattimation Thats what im saying, but the video would never come out functional. Their was some issue while it was being rendered.
"Keep in mind i have been using blender render"

It was the only way i could get the damned thing to work lol

                1. @l1ghtsword Check it, these are my encode settings. This ALWAYS works for me without fail, so if it doesn't work you're doing something else wrong. http://rainbowdash.net/url/828176

                    1. @l1ghtsword The way I work, no. I combine 2D with 3D so I'll render multiple MP4 files from Flash and Blender and layer it all together with the color key feature in Adobe Premiere. The sound is usually from the Flash video.

                    1. @l1ghtsword These settings are for Blender's internal engine.

      2. @mrmattimation wait... your a mac user correct? is that codec even avalible on Win?

        1. @l1ghtsword First of all, no, and second of all, yes. Blender comes pre-built with the Cycles engine. There's a little dropdown menu in the top bar that says "Blender Render", and you can change that to "Cycles"
