    @nightmarenarwhal alot of my friends tell to watch madoka but im kinda afraid too, the characters are pretty cute yet are violent, just not used to see those put together

      @otakubrony69 Without spoiling much, I think it works in the context of the show's overarching narrative (which is to say, the story wouldn't work if the main characters were dudes in their 20s or something). The violence is a little heavy and jarring, but I don't think the show is ever indulgent about it, its just heightened for the sake of selling the drama. I'd say it's worth watching if you're looking for a gorgeous character driven tragedy, but since you said you usually prefer comedies your mileage may vary with it.
