  1. I took speak to animals as soon as I could just so my character could have conversations with his cat. I also tried to use it on a dragon who could fluently speak all common languages.

    1. @skellythos I plan to swap out a spell in later stages, an area of effect damage spell that doesn't scale but it is really good at the earlier levels. But at now two other characters in our party can speak to animals. So it would be kind of a waste to have three crazy cat persons.

      1. @adiwan I'll have to add that to the list of games that I must play. A party made entirely of crazy cat people. I'll place it just after playing a party made of dwarven defenders. Four or five fully armored dwarves with shields as tall as themselves who just lock down like a turtle.

        1. @skellythos We always joke around to play a gang of changelings because we had a lot of problems being chased by local authorities and enemies all the time.

          1. @adiwan I once played a demon sorcerer in a group that had a highborn proper lady female bard, a werewolf warrior who had a compulsive need to tell the truth and do good deeds, and a drunk and completely profane elven blade dancer. I managed to convince the lord of the city we were in that the elf wouldn't talk due to a monastic vow as the lord had an admiration for elves, thus avoiding disaster. Then they sent us on a mission and we annihilated a group of bandits, things went out of hand and the bladedancer ended up urinating on the beheaded bandits. Later we found out there was a city guard in disguise among the deceased, and the warrior had to go and tell it in the most incriminating way. The lord pressured the elf to talk, he snapped, and bragged about how he had beheaded and peed on them. The bard was too nervous to say anything. There was no amount of haggling and sweet talking that could avoid the group being banned from the city and surroundings.

              1. @adiwan It usually went pretty well as I convinced the elf to shut up when near people, the bard would be the embodiment of refinement, and the warrior would spend his downtime helping people in need. It only went so wrong because the warrior felt guilty and that damn elf had to open his mouth.
