  1. I mean, I can empathize, maybe even sympathize, but I don't see myself connecting in such a manner to anyone really.

    1. @ickus If by connecting you mean cry when they're hurt physically/emotionally/mentally or get mad when they do; the whole deal.

      1. @ickus Case In Point, when Gilda made Fluttershy cry. IMMEDIATE ANGER

        1. @lonewanderer You don't assault Fluttershy in any way. You just don't. End of discussion. @earflaps I guess. But then again, that could be said about anything. :P

          1. @flaxx True. Think of it this way: say you like character X. Why? Well, look at the similarities between yourself and X. You could have similar interests or personalities. Is character X going through something you've ever experienced? If so, you could like them because you feel their pain, or you feel you could be supportive. The list goes on, really. An analysis isn't short.

            1. @earflaps Makes sense. Luna is my favorite and I'm socially awkward all the time.

            2. @earflaps Hm... That does make sense, actually. And yeah, those are pretty complicated things. @magicrussia Sounds nice. I'm working on my latest drawing. @binary I don't really like her much either. She's my least favorite of the mane cast. I do love everypony, though. :3

              1. @flaxx Same here. I love all all of them, but I've just never been a country sorta person XD Southern accents tend to drive me insane.

                1. @binary ha you would hate my voice then. i can talk normal but i tend to slip into it from time to time

                  1. @madflavors People tell em I have a southern accent, but I don't hear it.

                    1. @lonewanderer yea i didn't notice it for the longest time. My dream job (and this going to sound silly) is to do voice overs for commercials and tv and stuff. so when i told my friends about it they were like. but you kind of have an accent and so i tried my best to obliterate it.

                  2. @madflavors Tell me*

                2. @binary Yeah, her voice is pretty annoying. I prefer Rarity. Seriously, I wonder where they find people to do the voices. Rarity's and Fluttershy's voices are just... amazing. I've recently began to grow pretty fond of Twilight's voice too. Oh, and Rainbow Dash has a cool voice. Not as cute, but it's cool.

                  1. @flaxx I freaking love Applejack's voice, fits her hardworking down to earth attitude perfectly imo

                    1. @ignaesia Yes, I'm not saying her voice doesn't fit her. I couldn't imagine her with another voice. Still kinda annoying. @communistprime I used to wear baggy jeans, but now I don't really like jeans at all. I only wear jeans if I have to look decent for something. In school, it's sweatpants and a hoodie. :D

                      1. @flaxx I like jeans because they're the 'matches everything' pants of the world. Makes my life sooo much easier.

                3. @binary I hate southern accent, but I actually like Applejack and her accent. It's not overbearing like so many are lol @ickus I'm pretty much Pinkie's double when it comes to personality~ that's why I get pretty hurt and empathetic when people tend to call her crazy, or a psychopath or whatnot.

                  1. @magicrussia I will admit she isn't the most mentally stable, but to me she's more bubbly than anything.

              2. @flaxx There's one thing I neglected to mention, however. My buddy's studying human psychology in university, and he says that the most likely reason you chose whoever as your favourite character is because in real life, you're more likely to be sexually attracted to somebody who acts in a similar manner.

                1. @earflaps That's probably why I never find anyone. Obviously there isn't enough pink-haired women with wings. :D

                  1. @binary Thankfully, my standards aren't quite as high :A I don't think hyperactive, motor-mouthed guys are too difficult to come by.

        2. @lonewanderer Everybody I know, whether they like the show or not, reacted the same to that scene: "GRAB THE GUN, WE'RE GOIN' GRIFFON HUNTING!"

        3. @lonewanderer Would you count plotting against Gilda when she made Fluttershy cry and maliciously smile when Pinkie first said she was going to pay? Because, you know, I was really in the mood for chicken...
