      1. @nerthos I had to google that and it looks great. I might try to make my own sometime. It appears mate isn't technically a tea, so I can enjoy it!

        1. @moonman I actually haven't seen a single non-mention notice from @nerthos in quite a while.  Going to poke around in the logs.

          2. @moonman @nerthos I think I figured it out: http://u.daggsy.com/2T

I also haven't been seeing stuff from @tiffany or other RDN folks.

            1. @moonman @nerthos The bad HMACs seem to be a major problem with RDN, but other instances generate them sometimes.

              1. @takeFluffle Puffakenji Maybe because we're running on old, heavily modified software?

                1. @nerthos I bet someone could figure out how the HMAC code is insufficient if they were interested.

                  1. @takebatcaveakenji Yeah, that's why I forwarded it to the admin and old coder. I don't understand any of this but they do.

        2. @moonman There are two variants. Mate which is the dried plant chopped up, put in a container, and you pour hot water in it as you drink; and mate cocido which is more similar to tea, made with the same plant but instead you boil it, filter out the little plant bits, and drink the infusion (it also comes in little sacks like tea and is sold internationally as "mate tea") as for an alfajor, it's just two layers of sweet biscuit with a filling and coated in frosting or chocolate.
