Katy Perry called Keemstar the f-word apparently, which is kind of not cool but at the same time Keemstar is sort of a piece of apple so I'm trying to figure out if we should just forgive her for that.

@nerthos I mean, I'm just as guilty of using that word from time to time (though the older I get the more I've tried to cut back on it) but Katy Perry is the most followed person on Twitter (literally, a few months ago she became the first person to reach 80mil) and is often viewed as a symbol for the LGBT movement because of that one song she did in 2008, on top of just generally being a role model. At that point, you sort of need to restrain yourself from tweeting slurs at random YouTubers 'cause you don't like their crappy content.

@mrmattimation Eh, I think people should be allowed to say whatever words they want. Writting off words as "must never be said" is ridiculous. Words aren't bad. Cut off on harmful attitudes, sure, but we can't have an IRL wordfilter. It's like when people complained over here because a local classic tv star said on camera "those who kill must die" after one of her employees had been killed in a robbery. Fame shouldn't be a reason to be forced to shut up.

@nerthos You're right, it shouldn't, and people can say whatever they want, but they shouldn't be exempt from criticism in the name of free speech.

@mrmattimation If you say so. I just think it's not such a terrible thing to call someone a swear word. It'd be different if she had said something like "kill yourself you disgusting Potato Knishes, god hates you" or whatever, but "u a grape" isn't anything terrible. It's what a 12 year old would write on a note and pass it onto some classmate to start crap for fun. I'd be more inclined to criticize her on her terrible english than on the content of that tweet.
