            1. @mushi From that long ago unless someone wrote the reasons they had we wouldn't know. It could be all the reasons/theories the article stated. Nice to have some insight nonetheless.

              1. @awl They mentioned some theories, like the snails representing the death (?) and the snaill representing the female sexuality (???) and also mentioned tha tmany times the snail illustrations were added to the sides of pages of stories that had nothing to do with snails
