@purplephish20 @scribble This is exactly what it isn't. This is what many people believe and what many conservatives use to divert people who think as you from feminists. Feminism is nothing but the try to find ways out of structures which bring unequal rights. But I'd agree that gender equality would be the better term.

@thelastgherkin Possibily, im refering to the militarist types... like the (exagerated) image of it we see in Futurama "the wild green yonder" for example... if youve seen that film of course. I am passionate about equality on these levels... but not SUPERIORITY like how it seems to come across as

@purplephish20 @scribble The thing most people who oppose feminism in that way oppose most is the position of Judith Butler. Butler is all about how about that the differences between male and female we make are ... made and not an aspect of nature. According to Butler, the simple words "it's a boy" bring a baby in a structure which will make it stronger as if the words have been "it's a girl". Hard to explain - especially in simple dashes.
