@crimsondragon basically a someone new to the site I think. 4channers seem to like putting "cherries" at the end of everything.
-
@crimsondragon Newmangoes is a new pony on a website. People who have spent a very large amount of time on /b like @comradeconventrix call everyone else who doesn't act like 4chan veterans newbananass. YAY for newkiwis!
-
@crimsondragon [word]grapes is a term mostly used on 4chan to refer to somebody somehow linked to [word], usually in a negative sense. So newgrapes is a semi-derogatory term for a new user, oldmurdock the same for an old user. Tripgrapes for a user who uses "tripcodes", and so on.
-
@crimsondragon Yeah. Gotta love those 4channers.
-
Well, I guess *mangoes is used on all manner of chans, but 4chan is one of the biggest (if not actually the biggest).
-
@crimsondragon Pfft, trolls? Hardly anyone knows how to troll anymore, especially 90% of 4chan now. They once trolled on legendary levels, now they forgot what the term means.
-
@crimsondragon man, when i used 4chan i was not a troll, i think there is something wrong with me
-
@mrdragon because 4chan is filled with cancer now.
-
@crimsondragon yeah, that was an annoying place, but i liked to get some funny pokemon pics
-
@renovatedkitchen newfoals who thought they were hot sh** is what happened. Lol u mad and I rustled your jimmes all the time isn't trolling, it's just annoying the other person for a reaction. Moot tricking the furries in to believing they were allowing on 4chan and then banning them all was a good troll and one hell of a laugh. I'm actually waiting for him to do it with the 4chan pony board too.
-
@mrdragon either that or everyone got wise to trolls and learned how to just "ignore" them. meh, trolls on the internet are equivalent to that homeless guy that isnt actually homeless that keeps beggin for money IMO
-
@wiipon3 Original trolls were good laughs, so long as it didn't happen to you of course. But there's to many people out there who can't take a joke these days that they don't actually ignore as much as you think. Hell. Go check youtube comments that place is just a festering ground of stupid
-
@mrdragon that would be good. /b/ has just become a bunch of rude hipsters who giggle with their friends about things that were maybe funny a while ago. I remember back when I paid to tether my phone to my PC in class just to sit there and browse. Those were the days.
-
@renovatedkitchen Funny thing is, I've never been on 4chan. But hanging around with enough of them who do you learn what goes on.
-
@mrdragon and there really isn't anything anymore like you said.
-
@renovatedkitchen Yep, so I never missed a thing
-
@mushi It differs massively by board. /b/ is, by and large, pretty much what most people think of when they think 4chan. The various other boards have their own general feel to them, some more in line with the general perception of 4chan, others much less so. Strangely, one of the most laid-back ones I've seen is the /d/ board (warning: extremely NSFW). If it wasn't for the fact almost nothing posted on there is of interest to me, they seem like they'd be pretty cool to hang out with.
-
@mrdragon /x/ isn't too bad if you ever go there. But avoiding 4chan in general is probably best.
-
@bitshift well, i used /vp/ for sometime, and that was not a good plance when i think about it
-
@mushi That being said, it's been something like 2 or 3 years since the last time I seriously browsed 4chan, so this is out of date knowledge, and for all I know they've all changed.
-
@bitshift well, i browse on ther by the end of 2010
