          @lyrica Its an Imagetile 4w... Its a digital Lightbox, 4 20.3" lcd screens mounted in a cool box. B/W but 1536X2048 and regular video cards only like to run it at 800x600 so i had to find the special Barco cards

                  @eaglehooves Lol "you get what it ships with" is true for most of the laptop, but not the RAM! first thing i did when i got my new lappy is tear out 2 gbs from my old lappy and give myself 6 gbs of ram.

                      @eaglehooves So am i. But my laptop is pretty dang good. I do need to build meself a good gaming computer sometime this summer. because though using my laptop for absolutely everything computer related is easy, i want MOAR PAOWER!

                        @techdisk42 Same. It's actually a pretty nice machine for everything else imaginable (Runs CS5 benchmarks faster than an Alienware), but it's fps scores are awful when gaming, and it practically cooks itself in the process (102 playing the totally shiny gpu busting hit 'Minecraft')

                          @eaglehooves my computer is weird like that. I can play Skyrim on "high" at 1366x768 no problem and 1600x900 with a little lag, but when i play minecraft with the descrete GPU on, it crashes the driver. i have to use integrated graphics for minecraft, and descrete for other games.

          @eaglehooves I cant. Sony has the drivers in such a way that they must be from sony to work. Probably has to do with the switchable graphics... And i also cant just change gpus because laptop.

      @widget Ido think its the drivers though. When i got the laptop, it had an older version of the (sony/amd) drivers that actually BSODed when i tried minecraft. I updated the drivers (again through sony) and now only the driver crashes and recovers. The only upside is that because of the switchable graphics, i can use my integrated gpu to play minecraft no problem. (intel HD 3000 is a major improvement to 2000, but still sucks for gaming.)

          @bitshift Wat games do you play? I know it sucks in terms of you need to set the graphics settings really low to have it not lag. Its ok for minecraft and crappy looking but playable portal 2.

            @techdisk42 At a guess, probably the most demanding is either Borderlands or New Vegas. The first works just fine with no changes, the second works with a small drop in settings; and that drop in settings isn't big enough to negatively affect my experience. Like I said, I don't see why I'd need anything drastically more except maybe for hardcore, newly-released AAA-title gaming. And if I really wanted that, I've still got my desktop available.

            @bitshift I wish it ran on my laptop decently, though. Even if it _was_ 640x480. :( At least I have a legitimate copy on PS3.
