@marsh There's ones that aren't?! Where would I find these? (Every system I've owned has had it's quirk. Motherboards, graphics, HDDs, CPUs. I really know how to pick 'em. At least this one only acts up when gaming.)

@lyrica You cant mount a ps3 HDD. ive tried. They have a proprietary filesystem that not even linux can read. (or i havent found the right driver)

@lyrica Ah. I have my cheap $20 usb to SATA/PATA/(uhh)laptop PATA (?) really just so i can get stuff off my old hard drives. No way can i run an OS of any kind through that. (ive tried)

@eaglehooves Yes i would. And it would have worked for windows 98 and XP if it werent for the fact that they are 32 bit and my laptop has 4 gbs of memory soldered onto the motherboard.

@eaglehooves Then you should start saving and buy a personalized desktop. It's not that it's that expensive either. You could build a cheap gaming rig for $500, and a really great one for $900-1200.

@nerthos They'll fix anything, including my own stupidity through 2014, so it's not such a terrible risk. I'm thinking it might have a tragic "accident" the month before the expiration that necessitates a replacement.

@nerthos Its funny how my laptop with all the minecraft trouble cost over $1500 CDN, while i could have built a great gaming rig for less. But, i did need a computer to take to school that could handle some games, so im not complaining. (i also got sony vegas out of the deal, so thats always a plus)

@techdisk42 Well... that's expensive. I wouldn't buy a "gaming" laptop. They're far too expensive. I just use a gaming desktop at home, and a netbook when I'm away, with 6 hours on battery.

@nerthos its not a gaming laptop. Its just light, (3.5 pounds, fast, (intel i5 sandy bridge) and powerful. (no lag skyrim on high 1366x768)
