Also, laptop discussion? Mine cost around $900 last year and it runs Source games, Borderlands and the like pretty well.

@minti Gross, netbooks.

@redenchilada I know right? I barely use it. Thinking of selling it.

@minti Use it as a coaster.

@redenchilada This is totally a legit use for a netbook.

@minti My netbook has an 1.4GHz Intel Atom. Ran Minecraft, though. And it's great for reading.

@nerthos Yeah that's basically all I use it for. Reading in bed, since my dad doesn't like having the wireless on. (It interferes with his wireless TV headset, and he's deaf so.)

@minti I use it for everything outside home. I even write real time logs when on a tabletop RPG campaign. And to play Age of Empires 2 xD

@nerthos XD I guess I could do that, I don't do table top gaming much, and I hate RTSs though soooo :D

@minti I like RTSs, yes, but AoE2 is a lifetime favourite, and runs everywhere xD

@redenchilada $600 (or rather, £390 which converts to nearly the same) this year, and runs the same things just as well. Couldn't be happier with it. :3

@bitshift Mine chokes on Generations, unfortunately. Hovers around 30FPS on 640x480 fullscreen, graphics turned down (for whatever piddly excuse for scalability the game claims), and absolute murder if I even try 1024x600. :(
