        @minti yeah it is considered rude in finland too but in every tv show and movie they wear shoes inside too

          @largist I've got some family that asks that you take your shoes off before coming inside and others don't care. I wear mine into my room, then take them off and keep them stored against a dresser. I think it mostly depends on the home owner

      @largist Shoes are usually worn inside homes here in the US. there is really nothing frowned upon about except that you can track dirt and such. Other than that it is really common.
