    1. @purplephish20 The entire North American continent is, for what that's worth.

        1. @purplephish20 I'm even planning to visit england for vacation. I'll do the planning once I did all my exams

          1. @hakupony Do some researching and if you're semi lucky you can catch one of the uk meetups!

            1. @purplephish20 I won't do the planning alone but ask you guys for advice :) @bitshift We could of course just Skype tomorrow. Then you can hear my grasp of your mother tongue as well :)

              1. @hakupony I'm not a fan of Skype, to be honest. And besides that, it is well-documented that my laptop's built-in microphone is... well, not great. Long-term plan is to get a proper microphone (probably as part of a headset), but I don't have the money right now, so it remains a long-term goal.

                1. @bitshift May I ask in what part of the UK you live?

                  1. @hakupony Birmingham. It's relatively southern, though still considered the North by some Londoners. :P

                    1. @bitshift Everything is North from down here!

                    2. @bitshift You treacherous swine! You will have had a half hour trip to get sorted for the meetup and I had a 3 hour train ride EACH WAY to get to and from it

Saturday, 14-Jul-12 00:35:11 UTC from web
                      1. @purplephish20 Less, actually. It was something like a 20-minute bus ride in, and about the same going back out. And as my first meet-up, I probably wouldn't have attended it if it wasn't such a minor journey. :)

                        1. @bitshift I trust you understand now how truly awesome they are. When you know regular meetup goers it's great to be seeing them after so long.

                          1. @purplephish20 Well, most of the appeal of that one was meeting people I previously only knew by an avatar/name combo on here, but yeah. I'd be a lot more willing to travel somewhat further (once I have some more money on hand, anyway) for future meet-ups now.

Saturday, 14-Jul-12 00:40:55 UTC from web
                            1. @bitshift Yeah, the first bronies I ever met IRL would have been rotation, pawnheart, yorkiebrony and klayking from here, along with the rest of the relatively small Sheffield meetup group in November... Or was it October... It was the day sister hooves social aired so there's the reference.

                              1. @purplephish20 Okay, now I feel stupid for not realising that yorkiebrony's name was a reference to where (s)he comes from. D:

                                1. @bitshift "extremely tall dreadlocks guy" was also there, I've seen him at 3 meetups now, sheffield, Nottingham and Birmingham, twice he wore the same AC/DC shirt, and I STILL have no idea what his name is >.<

Saturday, 14-Jul-12 00:47:27 UTC from web
                                  1. @purplephish20 Ha, I know exactly who you mean, and yeah, I have no idea what his name is either. :)

                                      1. @purplephish20 I think I heard one or two people call him that. That's all I have to go by.

                        1. @hakupony £45

                          1. @purplephish20 It propably wouldn't be much more expensive (or long) to travel to a meetup from here... 49 pounds for the flight to Aberdeen O_O

                    3. @bitshift I most likely will be somewhere arount London. Atm, I think about seeking a place to stay outside of the city itself and just rent a car for the time - still cheaper as driving to the Kingdom myself.

        1. @purplephish20 A rule of thumb during the summer is that even if I'm not talking, you can pretty much guarantee I'll be around if it's still earlier than ~5am. :)

Saturday, 14-Jul-12 00:25:30 UTC from web
          1. @bitshift Usually this is the case for me if I have no commitments the following day. I love going to bed once the sun has risen and I can hear the birds

Saturday, 14-Jul-12 00:26:43 UTC from web
            1. @purplephish20 It's quite an effective means of going to bed at around the same time each day, too, since the sun doesn't tend to come up at vastly different times on two consecutive days.
