@tiffany My hope is that he'll just act like an idiot but make good decisions when it matters. He wouldn't be that rich if he were an idiot, he's just a clown on stage as far as I see it.

@tiffany I'll be completely honest: he didn't win being an idiot. As I see it he's a skilled politician who knew just how to act to get there, and that means he also knows what to do. Might not benefit everyone, but I don't think he'll screw up due to not knowing what he's doing.

@nerthos @tiffany He's a media genius. All the "stupid" mango he says are attention grabbers. Dude's a reality TV show star. He knows how to grab headlines and make everyone talk about him.
Whether that translates to being a competent politician is another thing entirely, but hey.-
@gameragodzilla He managed to become incredibly rich before becoming a reality tv star though.

@nerthos Yeah, so he's also a competent businessman, even if he lost a billion dollars or something in the 90's. He's still rich so no one really cares.
But charismatic media mogul businessman doesn't equal politician. Granted, that's why he won: he's not a politician, but we'll see how he does in office now that campaigning is over.-
@gameragodzilla I think his main focus will be not being ridiculously indebted to china, which involves administrating the country as a business

@nerthos Yeah, renegotiating NAFTA will probably be the top of his priority. Hell, he already killed TPP.
He did mention radical Islamic terrorism in his speech so ISIS will probably also be a priority.

@gameragodzilla She had spent the last 20-30 years agreeing with every crook that had power with no other goal than getting there. She had no reason to do it, she had no goal or change she wanted to make once there, her endgame was just getting in office.

@nerthos Yeah. She comes off as a robot. She's all pro-LGBT these days but as recent as 2004, she was pro-DOMA because that was politically advantageous at the time. Wouldn't even be an issue if she admitted to changing her mind, I admit I did. When I was younger, I bought some of the anti-LGBT arguements but after discussing with people who disagreed with me as well as getting to know and becoming friends with LGBT people, I changed my mind. I was wrong before, and I admit it. I've yet to see her say something similar.
