  1. And again, I'm not saying that assaulting someone isn't a crime. I'm just saying that Richard Spencer could have been skewered through and through with a giant fork on live television and I wouldn't complain

    1. @tiffany Just now I'm learning this guy was some sort of personality, until now I thought it was just some average joe and that half the fediverse were just salty assholish libtards.

      1. @nerthos yeah no he's a human zika virus

        1. @tiffany That would have been useful to know earlier.

          1. @nerthos well surprise

        2. @tiffany So apparently the video of a masked thug punching a trump supporter I saw was a different one than the one you saw, with different victims. Also from what I've been reading the "black genocide" essay attributed to the guy you were talking about is actually just an edited document where someone replaced all instances of "white" for "black" and wasn't written by him.

          1. @nerthos @tiffany Also going around was that one of the masked punchers got tracked down on the internets and was found to be posting pictures of himself on some scat cuck fetish site.

          2. @nerthos @tiffany  I spend too much time defending Internet racism but the threshold for getting called a Nazi is as low as it's ever been. and a million people are now also like "and it's self defense to sucker punch Nazis" so I feel a bit justified in worrying about the implications of it for anyone who is politically to the right of a "whiteness studies" university professor.

            1. @moonman @nerthos Violent thugs will use any excuse they can get to be violent, and this has been a particularly resilient one.

            2. @moonman @nerthos @tiffany There were a lot of them defending the group kicking the batcave out of that dude for wearing one of those MAGA hats.

            3. @moonman http://rainbowdash.net/notice/4561870 Related. Also pretty much. We're already at the "break the windows of business that belong to them" stage. I think white people need to realize this before it gets to the concentration camps part.

              1. @nerthos @moonman I recall seeing an image of people smashing a local Starbucks and looting them.   The same Starbucks coffee company that gave an appreciable amount of money to Hillary Clinton's campaign.

It's not even about us versus them at this point, it's children throwing a tantrum and using any excuse to try to get out of responsibility for their misbehaviour.

                1. @maiyannah Well, there's also those. But my point still stands that if white people keep buying into this "antifa" crap, they'll be consistently more and more abused.

                  1. @nerthos My point is they really don't buy into it so much as it is their excuse for being a bunch of papayas.

                    Sunday, 22-Jan-17 10:34:29 UTC from community.highlandarrow.com
                    1. @maiyannah Perhaps. Good luck getting people to defend themselves and their property if you tell them "these guys are just throwing tantrums" rather than "they hate your race"

                      1. @nerthos Oh that's easy.  Someone tries to harm me I shoot them.  I don't really care what their reasons are.

                        1. @maiyannah You. Most people are way too lenient and stupid for it, having been raised to be that way.

                          1. @nerthos If someone is unwilling to defend themselves why should anyone else?

                            1. @nerthos Willing and unable to?  Sure.  But unwilling?  Nah.

                              Sunday, 22-Jan-17 10:37:50 UTC from community.highlandarrow.com
                            2. @maiyannah My point is making them willing. We can only live in peace if everyone defends their stuff.

                              1. @nerthos Honestly I'm so tired of being subject to America's bullbanana in so many ways I honestly wouldn't care if they self-destructed as long as they didn't take others with them.

                                Sunday, 22-Jan-17 10:40:50 UTC from community.highlandarrow.com
                                1. @maiyannah That latter part is why I care. An hegemonic empire drags everyone else with them.

Sunday, 22-Jan-17 10:40:02 UTC from web
                  2. @nerthos @maiyannah Wouldn't the logical response to that be to elect someone who will stand up against that crap?

                    Oh, wait.

              2. @nerthos @moonman There is a minor matter of who actually has the military advantage though. Considering the commander-in-chief is a Republican and Congress is majority Republican and Republicans in general tend to view gun ownership rather favorably I don't think there is much risk.

In the Kristallnacht the aggressors also controlled the state and their victims weren't generally armed.

              3. @nerthos majority of ppl on twitter i see are just repeating the punch nazis thing because they need an acceptable outlet to unload the accumulated hate they normally have to keep bottled up to live in a polite society. It could have been any other group, maybe 400 years ago it would have been witches. on a day to day basis how many nazi skinheads are these middle class college feminists really seeing? might as well be witches.

                1. @moonman @nerthos Nazi just means people that disagree with you.

We've collectively raised an entire generation who cannot handle adversity or disagreement.  This is its bitter harvest.

                2. @moonman Yes, but twitter bananaing and destruction of property and agression are two different things. People have given up the right to be armed and defend themselves in places like NY in exchange for the state protecting them. So the police should at the very least have hydrants there washing up the rioters.

                  1. @nerthos For all the people that say Nazis deserve violence because Nazism breaks the social contract of tolerance of others, there's that other part of the social contract that says the state reserves the sole right to enact violence for the public good. In that spirit I am happy to see cops use the violence of the state to deal with destructive protesters and people who sock nazis real or imagined.

                    1. @moonman And that's why I'm complaining about the state not being hard enough on them.

                        1. @moonman I think in general I'd be much less violent in speech if the state made sure no unwarranted agression goes unpunished.

There ain't no contract I have signed, but Nazis also have rights. If they haven't violated anyone's rights, then initiating aggression is wrong and unjust.

                      1. @dtluna My point exactly. If one of them goes and say, stabs a jew? beat them up and throw them in jail. But if they don't actually do anything, they don't deserve agression.
