@lambadalambda @hakui Being honest I don't understand how people can do that without intending to. I mean, I am one but not because I can't chat up a girl, rather because I didn't want to do any of that without a committed relationship and my current relationship is long distance until I get a house of my own or have enough spare income to take a month long vacation abroad. Anyone can get laid if they don't have a reason to deliberately avoid it. If someone isn't socially inept to a pathological level or crippled and is a kissless virgin in their 20s I'll assume lack of trying is the reason.

Good point. I would probably say that a lot of mine in the past has been either bad timing, or due to immaturity and fear of it. I tended to shy away from it. As I've grown, I just haven't felt the need to kiss or have sex with anyone unless in a committed relationship. Even there it's not a requirement. There are other ways to show your affection. Not to say that I wouldn't do it if the mood were right though.-
@sim @hakui @lambadalambda TBH I think you're going about it the right way. You aren't by any means old and have managed to avoid the biggest problem of the stage which is getting into cherryty teen romance relationships. It's ridiculous to completely shy away from it when in a relationship, but it's also reasonable to not jump at the first chance, so I'm sure you'll be fine whenever you find someone.

I had about two long-distance batcavety teen romances that were interesting learning experiences at least. At the end of the day, it's going to depend on your priority. If you want to get laid or kiss, then the way that I've gone about it is not necessarily going to be for you. The consequent is that I don't just have that. That's just a fact of life for me... something to accept. But it works for me because it's not my priority. When I find someone I want a committed relationship with, it'll change. But before then I still need to work on myself so that I can create a healthy relationship.-
@sim @hakui @lambadalambda And that's why I'm saying you're going about it the right way. You're mostly looking for companionship, so you're getting that without risks as you get stuff sorted out. Decades ago you had a time limit, but nowadays there's plenty of single people at any age so you can take it easy and get in a relationship when you feel it's the right time.

I agree, I like the idea of companionship. I can sort out my sexual urges by myself and it's more comfortable, so I don't feel like I need other people for that. If I have sex with another, it'll be because I want to share my sexual affections with them rather than because I'm horny. Yeah, I'd rather get into a relationship that will be good for me and my partner than to rush into it.-

If I were a slut, I would be slutting about right now. I don't know how to explain it other than one-night stands don't sound appealing to me. I don't invest like that. To put it in simple terms, I just seek a monogamous long-term relationship. That is my default and natural state. I don't need fun like other people have.-
There is a poverty of imagination where we have three modes: the "cock carousel" (or Potato Knishes) of one night stands, incel, and lifelong monogamy. It's apparently the same for alcohol: you can be a teetotaler, never drink more than half a beer, or be a binge drinker.

If I want a diversion in life, I can think of better things to do with my time. You're forgetting something... I don't want to be unattached in a relationship of any type(Although I tend to be casual in non-romantic ones). It's not even about a lackof imagination... it's just a preference to me. If I were interested, then I would be doing it already.
