Oh, goodness... sometimes this place makes me feel old...

@flaredancer nah.. I'm 29 and I'm pretty sure another long-time member is in thier 30s (though I can't remember who).

@pony Yeah, I know I'm not the oldest. But, having someone I'm ten years older tell me they remember their first love is a little... "Aww... when'd I get so old..." lol

@pony Yeah? The way I see it, really, you are how you feel. When I was with my Big Ex, I got to be old... he's 10 years older than me, and usually behaved much older. Spending so much time with him just made me old, too. People guessed me in my early 30s when I was in my early 20s. After we split, I got to feeling more like myself, and now people think I'm 20 instead of my 25. And Noirbatch has done wonders to mostly cure me of my cynicism. I hadn't realized just how jaded I had become...

@pony I didn't know who I was in high school. I had some personal issues that I was struggling with and I got bullied all through middle and high school. My late teens and early twenties were ridiculously self destructive. It wasn't until splitting with my Big Ex, nearly two years ago now, that I really got a hold of who I am.

@minti I was going through some rough things and got bullied a lot.

@flaredancer I got bullied in elementary (who didn't at least once?) but once middle school hit, it stopped cause people realized they were stupid for doing it. xD

@minti I was not bullied in elementary at all. Everyone was cool with me being all rough and tumble and tougher than the boys. It was seriously one grade change, too. Everyone was fine with me the last year of elementary school, then as soon as middle started, I was that weird kid who needed to be picked on. I didn't know what had happened. As far as I knew, I didn't change at all. I was still a tom boy and bookish. Just, suddenly, very few people seemed to like me. It was really jarring and that mockery lasted all the way through to my senior year.

@minti @flaredancer Those years of self discovery can be rather turbulent. I guess it all depends on the individual. I only really got bullied in elementary school. I think that's because I was a terror as a younger child. xD

@minti @flaredancer it's mostly just what others think/expect of ponies in their 30s that makes me wish I didn't have to adopt that status. I already get some "wow"s when I tell my interweb acquaintances I'm 29.. mostly that sort of reaction comes from teens though. I dislike the social gaps between younger and more mature ponies.. I've always acted how I act now, (except a little less confidently), since I was a teen.
