@rarity wish I could give you one
-
@awl yeah man I wake up at 230 am for work it's hard to get motivated to get to my desk
-
@rarity I haven't had mornings like that in awhile; likely due for a few. It's hard to tell in my line of work.
-
@awl that's just my normal now. 6 days a week
-
@rarity stuff that
-
@awl you get used to it.
-
@rarity I sure didn't, but I also had meth-heads who never left their hovel stomping about above me during the days I wasn't in class.
-
@awl I'm sure my family feels the same about me, I'd bet I wake them up everyday stomping around
-
@rarity you don't do the weed thou
-
@awl oh yeah totally
-
@rarity if you did
your alt handle could be @raritree -
@awl as much as I don't understand the trees joke that's funny
-
@rarity smoke dat tree
-
@awl I have a beautiful magnolia tree in my yard that's blooming now and it only does it for a few days so I'm happy (also check your DMs)
-
@rarity tis the season. We're still stuck in rain and dreariness for the time being, but it'll be a blast to see colour again for more than a few days.
-
@awl you're in minnesota right? you guys are getting it pretty bad RN
-
@rarity Well our northern half is (probably our southern half too); we're just getting rain. I did manage to see a flurry or two on Thursday due to the temperature.
-
@awl here in where I am we're getting tons of rain this weekend which is great
-
@rarity We needed it too. When I was up in the area of Luck WI last week I got caught outside in a storm. Made a Potato Knishes day for hiking that's for sure but I won't soon forget it.
-
@awl here today it was that perfect way, where it was raining pretty decently but it was still bright enough to get you where you needed to be, it reminded me of Floriday
-
@rarity Those are eerie days man. Bad omens.
-
@awl it's funny because in my personal life, nothing makes me feel more at home. It's like most people aren't comfortable heading out, but I totally am. so I'm more comfortable
-
@rarity kind of like me and storms of most kind, at least any I've experienced.
-
@awl rain is comforting to me, I should probably move to the Pacific northwest lmao. In fact, that's probably why I read all the Twilight novels
-
@rarity are they any good
-
@awl I mean, if you go in knowing there's going to be a lot of cliche romance stuff. They're enjoyable enough? I certainly don't mind them. They're not as bad as everyone makes them out to be.
-
@rarity the haters, man
-
@awl if you're ever at the library with no idea what to read, try them out. If only to say you did.
-
@rarity Will do. That's happened a good few times already this year.
-
@awl I'm not going to act it's a series that's anything legendary. But I have a soft spot for it for some reason
-
@rarity kind of like I like Odd Thomas despite it not being all that great, or groundbreaking. Or for that matter liking any Koontz works I've read besides.
-
@awl like my soft spot for John Grisham
-
@rarity yee.
-
@awl I've never read a Dean Coontz or a Tom Clancy novel tbh
-
@rarity nor I grisham, come to think of it. Clancy I remember liking; mostly for the technical stuff.
-
@awl my brother's big into Clancy, which I'm not surprised by. He got upset when I told him that this Mao """biography""" he was reading was propaganda
-
@rarity As if any thing written in the west about him couldn't be
-
@awl it was literally titled something like "Mao Zedong: Portrait of a Madman" but I'm too much of an autist to enter his room and ask him to actually find out what the book is called
