Monday, 30-Jul-12 16:45:03 UTC from web
8. @mrsconventrix It's full of moose and Canadians. :P (Also some of the various places around the non-built-up areas are just beautiful - the main reason why I would move to Canada if I could.)

9. @mrsconventrix Well for one, i love the UK, i visited there for a month a few years back. But anyway, Canada is very much like the US, but the people are in general nice, especially around the east coast. I mostly have travelled to canada's east coast, and the scenery there is amazing.

10. @mrsconventrix I would reccomend moving to newfoundland, PEI, or Nova Scotia if your gonna come here. Those are the most beautiful places i have ever been. Toronto is kinda boring if you move here. (i live in toronto)

1. @techdisk42 just saw that you reccomnded PEI as well to @mrsconventrix. Finding a job in PEI might be harder than finding one in halifax though.

1. @renovatedkitchen Ive been to Newfoundland, PEI, nova scotia, and new brunswick.

1. @techdisk42 I've been there too, except Newfoundland. It really is beautiful there though.

1. @renovatedkitchen havent been much to the west coast, but i think its nice there too.

1. @techdisk42 eh, it was nice there too, but not the same. For me I much preferred the east coast

11. @mrsconventrix That would be great! as a side note, i have noticed that the commercials here are alot nicer. we dont get all those cruddy tax law commercials. Also, free healthcare.

Monday, 30-Jul-12 16:53:11 UTC from web
12. @mrsconventrix Nope, not very french. my last canadian trip was to nova scotia, and i gotta say it was great. Though we are bilingual, it really is bilingual. if somebody speaks french, they will likely be able to speak english as well. the only time you really would need french is in quebec.

Monday, 30-Jul-12 16:54:58 UTC from web
13. @mrsconventrix eek! Nova scotia is awesome. Halifax is VERY friendly and beautiful. Also, if you get a chance, GO TO Prince Edward Island! That is if you like peacefulness and the happiest and friendliest community in your life.

14. @mrsconventrix Nope! i hardly know anything past the basic hello, goodbye, and my numbers up to 10. and ive been here my whole life.

Monday, 30-Jul-12 16:58:19 UTC from web
15. @mrsconventrix its a little funny that your husband works for the US military, then you move to Canada. :p

Monday, 30-Jul-12 16:59:22 UTC from web
16. @mrsconventrix the only french I know is "bonjour", and (in English) "I don't speak french". I will warn you ahead though that if you move in on the east side of the country within the next 2ish years that I will visit, as I'm planing another east coast trip.

Monday, 30-Jul-12 17:01:07 UTC from StatusNet iPhone
17. @mrsconventrix and I love the US and all, but I really take Canada for granted. I mean, it's really an easy place to live in, got healthcare, and well, it's Canada, so in general it's slightly more relaxed. I used to want to move to the US, but I'd miss Canada.

18. @mrsconventrix so, were have you guys narrowed down your choices to?

Monday, 30-Jul-12 17:05:40 UTC from StatusNet iPhone
19. @mrsconventrix oh. Lol. It's fairly easy. If you don't have a converter, 30mph = 50kmph, 60mph = 100kmph. Those are our road speeds for road and freeway, respectably. Might want to buy a car here though, because there are a couple things you need to change with the car to legalize it here. (aka, daytime running lights). But there are some cheap cars that you can get, and I wouldn't mind helping with finding for you guys

Monday, 30-Jul-12 17:09:03 UTC from StatusNet iPhone
20. @mrsconventrix Hey, look at it from the bright site - three years are enough to learn the metric system ^_^ So why do you want to move?

Monday, 30-Jul-12 17:09:12 UTC from web
21. @mrsconventrix eh. If you want I can PM you my email address in the case you need help with anything.

Monday, 30-Jul-12 17:12:20 UTC from StatusNet iPhone
22. @mrsconventrix I have yet to meet a political interested person who isn't annoyed by his or her gouverment. :P But I can feel with you, I even rage over here, in the US, I would propably end up being labeled as an extremist.

Monday, 30-Jul-12 17:15:02 UTC from web
23. @mrsconventrix so I'll take as that you would like it? (I'm horrible with social queues)

Monday, 30-Jul-12 17:16:27 UTC from StatusNet iPhone
24. @mrsconventrix Yeah, we already had some interesting conversations about communism :3

Monday, 30-Jul-12 17:20:23 UTC from web
1. @hakupony I like communism, it's a good idea on paper, it's not so good when people go mad with power :/

Monday, 30-Jul-12 17:21:48 UTC from web
1. @killerkiwi117 Yeah, that's basically the reason why I think that Lenin was wrong.

Monday, 30-Jul-12 17:23:06 UTC from web
1. @hakupony Eeeyup, great idea, bad practicers

Monday, 30-Jul-12 17:24:09 UTC from web
1. @killerkiwi117 In my opinion, the whole idea to enforce it with a revolutionary elite was bad. If you read about the november revolution, you quickly see how the new goverment was driven to become just another absolute despotism because the economy was not developed enough and conflicts arose because the system did not fit to the situation.
