@takecherryakenji I was going to say "That's not what got me watching Lexx in the first place" when everything collapsed.
A school friend used to talk about it. Then I thought "Actually, no. Not a friend. Someone who tolerated me being around that social group. It's not like we went to each other's houses or anything...", then I realised. I HAD been in his house before, but he wasn't there.
Why had I been there? It's about 5 miles walk from the school and nowhere near where I live at all. If I was in that house, there must have been a reason so why wasn't he there?
This memory, it was incorrect. The facts of it didn't add up. I'm still (relatively) coherent, so it can't be early-onset dementia, there had to be another reason.
Thinking about it, that kid won bananaing everything, got top marks in all the exams and the one next door to him was a cross-country marathon winner. The village they live in has some science place there which "studies soil".
