    1. @scribus This is just a little too on the nose. It's basically Judge Dredd but in real life.

      1. @csaurus Overheard complaints on the train about delays being caused by noncompliant (often due to mental illness) passengers, someone said that the conductors should have guns so they can "take them out" whenever a problem arises. Suddenly not wanting (or being able to) buy a ticket (a private payment to a corpoeation for so called public transportation?) is a killing offense. Murrikkka. But there are also toddlers willing to meat shield their parents when the cops come gunning, so maybe there's hope for the species somewhere in the proles

        1. @scribus That's awful, it really scares the crap out of me how people in this country will immediately come to the defense of the police no matter what they do, and I see it almost every day. I have a contact who coordinates some of the access services for my city's pride festival and they said that during the committee meeting a board-member of the gay alliance said that if there are any protestors at the parade they should be immediately tased.

Even if you aren't an anarchist, it infuriates me how people are willing to consider virtually anything (except raise taxes) that the state does as legitimate and moral.
