@abigchichipomodoro I always figured it was highly destabilizing ^_^ Then again, I'd probably be off in Iraq or I'd be a mendicant monk if I hadn't gotten married so I can't really decide which is less stable.

@pony I don't know why people always say "I'd be in the military shipped off overseas if it weren't for this" like not doing that ONE thing will completely change your stance in life.

@abigchichipomodoro I'm pretty dang sure that I wouldn't be finishing my second degree if it weren't for marriage anyway, and, knowing myself, I don't think I'd be satisfied mooching off society or stuck in an unfulfilling job, so I think I'd go for some extreme. I always meant to join the military. The only reason I'm not currently enrolled is my wife's objection to it.

@abigchichipomodoro Yeah. It's my mother too. None of the women close to me want me to serve.. although maybe I still might in some technical capacity, not overseas.
