    Someone made a package where you can open the terminal like the terminal in Quake. Why am I not surprised this exists.

      @minti I remain a fan of urxvt (or rxvt-unicode, depends on what your package manager calls it). Very light terminal emulator with great unicode support.

      @minti At least 3, actually: guake, yakuake, and tilda. (I personally liked the first one for quite a while.)

        @bitshift The one I found was guake. Not going to use it, but it's still neat and totally something I'd use if I wasn't so obsessed with simplicity and minimilistic design.
