          1. @scribble Well, I ordered my first pony shirt and joined a german brony community. RDN is still better :) @nerthos I know mate, but what's mate cocido?

                1. @hakupony Oh I meant that it sounds like you must be happy ordering your first shirt and joining a group :) I am happy though.. Most because SBN entertains me.

                  1. @pony Well, it is kinda cool to know more germans who enjoy MLP - if just for meetups and to get to know where to get blindbags. This is the shirt I ordered: http://www.getdigital.de/products/Flowing_Rainbow

Sunday, 26-Aug-12 13:18:40 UTC from web
            2. @hakupony It's basically tea made out of yerba mate.

Sunday, 26-Aug-12 13:06:29 UTC from web
              1. @nerthos Ah, that's what I have as well :)

Sunday, 26-Aug-12 13:08:25 UTC from web
                1. @hakupony The main difference is that mate uses water under the boiling point, and is barely left in the yerba, whilst mate cocido is made from boiling the yerba. One is to drink while doing something else or chatting, and the other is for breakfast or relaxing.

Sunday, 26-Aug-12 13:10:54 UTC from web
                  1. @nerthos And if you boil the yerba, how does it affect it's effect on you (compared with mate)?

Sunday, 26-Aug-12 13:12:56 UTC from web
                    1. @hakupony It doesn't really have an effect, it just changes the taste.

Sunday, 26-Aug-12 13:14:10 UTC from web
                      1. @nerthos Ah, I see. Then I will try both soon and compare for myself :3

Sunday, 26-Aug-12 13:16:46 UTC from web
                        1. @hakupony Nice. I didn't know people drinked it outside of south america. Maybe you'll be able to find those little bags, like the tea ones, for mate cocido.

Sunday, 26-Aug-12 13:19:30 UTC from web
                          1. @nerthos Most people don't. There is just this drink Club Mate which is rather popular among nerds. So I went to a tea shop and bought mate because I liked the nerd drink and wanted to give the original a try :3

Sunday, 26-Aug-12 13:22:04 UTC from web
                            1. @hakupony Oh, I see xD well, you could always ask someone who has family who travels between our countries.

Sunday, 26-Aug-12 13:23:50 UTC from web
                          2. @nerthos @hakupony Then again, our countries are pretty connected because of immigration. It won't take you more than five minutes to find someone who speaks German in the northen provinces.

Sunday, 26-Aug-12 13:23:01 UTC from web
                            1. @nerthos I don't know a single person from Southern America, so the influence is pretty one way...

Sunday, 26-Aug-12 13:23:54 UTC from web
                              1. @hakupony Well most of the German communities here were created in the first half of the XX century because off world wars. My great grandparent came here because of WW1. Still there are lots of schools who make student exchanges and stuff.

Sunday, 26-Aug-12 13:26:01 UTC from web
                                1. @nerthos If I was alive at that time, I would have left as well. About the student exchanges thing: we do that with everywhere. It's pretty funny - if you walk arount at the right time at my university, you feel like yo were in japan xD

Sunday, 26-Aug-12 13:29:55 UTC from web
                                  1. @hakupony Lol. Here the German schools are pretty much the elite. I was going to attend to one, but too expensive.

Sunday, 26-Aug-12 13:31:29 UTC from web
                                    1. @nerthos How about a student exchange program? Schools are for free over here. (which is one of the three things I like about Germany).

Sunday, 26-Aug-12 13:32:39 UTC from web
                                      1. @hakupony There are state and private schools here. State ones are free. I'm not really interested in student exchanges now, but I'll probably go there some day as a turist.

Sunday, 26-Aug-12 13:37:58 UTC from web
                    2. @hakupony I mean, it only has an effect if you drink LOTS without being used to it, and in that case it just causes you to... use a toilet often.

Sunday, 26-Aug-12 13:16:09 UTC from web
