  1. gendered pronouns add subtle hints to social relationships unstated in texts. I'm no really defending it, but this is a problem with neutral ones that unstated information is lost. sometimes I've wished that there were words for group of males/females/mixed/other than just "they." but I am ok with gender neutral pronouns.

    1. @moonman my home language is gendered like this. Yara for he, dara for they (male), lara for they (female). Not that it’s used for strictly gendered contexts as we tend to animate everything.
