#linux Anyone know if you can specifically set the colours of a single window with gnome or something? Like, the theme colour. #noob #idontknowhowtosayit

@widget I dunno. I just had the cool idea of making windows run as superuser red, while the rest are green. xD

@minti Are we talking GNOME2 or GNOME3 here? Because if it's GNOME3, well, that isn't designed for people wanting to manage the colours of their windows.

@omni To be honest, I don't know. xD

@minti Does it look like https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/2/22/Gnome2.30.0.png or like http://www.gnome.org/wp-content/uploads/2012/03/application-view.png?

@omni ... 3 is shiny. *ahem* I'm using the one that comes with Mint, which is MATE I think. But I'm (pretty?) sure I can switch over to Gnome if it'll allow me to defines rules for window colours or something. xD

@minti MATE is 99.9% GNOME2 code, it has fairly little changes but at least is still being maintained. I'm not sure if such a thing is possible, though, I just wanted to make the "GNOME 3 isn't designed for people who..." joke (after a GNOME3 developer saying "GNOME3 isn't designed for people who want to choose their own terminal emulators.")
