  1. Oh wow I did something I didn't know was possible. There was this dog munching stuff in the yard, it tried to run past me, and I grabbed (just grabbed, didn't touch the troath or anything) it by the head. It started shaking in fear, staring at my eyes, and when I released it, the dog just fell on it's side, got up, and ran. This knowledge will be useful some day. http://ur1.ca/a4fna

    1. @nerthos You didn't know that dogs do that?

      1. @bitshift I know that they consider defeat when you grab them by the neck, I didn't know I was able to catch a running dog by it's head, lift it, and make it shake in terror. I tought I was slower. I usually just hit them with something when they're hostile, but I didn't have anything at hand.

        1. @nerthos Well then. You learned a valuable lesson today.

          1. @bitshift Yeah. My ego isn't as bloated as I tought. I'm able to do some weird stuff.

            1. @nerthos Can you . . . rub your tummy and pat your head at the same time?

              1. @scribus I guess?

        2. @nerthos Your disregard for life still appalls me. :p

          1. @minti I never killed one. I barely kill stuff because things usually admit defeat. But my disregard for life is probably tied to the fact that I consider life a bunch of chemical reactions, and the mind just a complex organic electronic circuit. It's more categorization than disregard, actually.

            1. @nerthos Same thing really, in any of the situations you bring up I'd be one to take more of a passive approach than what you've shown you'd do. :p

              1. @minti Life has taught me that the passive approach doesn't work with animals. The last time I tried that, some idiot tried to kill me with a pole, hitting me from behind. So I preffer to just grab things by the neck and hit them against things. I don't know if the thing will survive, but I will. When dealing with people that's a completely different thing, though, since words are usually far more useful.
