      1. @abigpony I'll post what I have this far.-- Do you see all that I see? | Shapes and lines, reality. | Though we strive and strain to be, | I'm not you, you're not me. || Do you view life differently? ...

        1. @dlcentaur And you need more rhymes? You goin' for "different interpretations of life and situations"? From there with the inconsistent rhythm, probably something like 'a different scope; a different scene? I ask of thee, I beg and plead. Do you see all that I see?' I'm not sure how long you want it to go on or if you want to start with a different rhyme pattern or what.

          1. @abigpony Yes, only this poem concerns more than just people's interpretations of things. It question it asks is if people actually physically see things differently, as well as perceiving them differently. I'm as unsure as you are concerning its scheme forward from there. It doesn't need to be too much longer, merely long enough to get its point across.

            1. @dlcentaur Well depending on your personal preference, you can get that point across in one line or 10 pages.

              1. @abigpony I'd say an octet or a sonnet would be fine. x3

                  1. @abigpony That would be excellent. I will edit and format it the way I want, and then I'll show you the final product and see how you like it. I really appreciate your help!

                    1. @dlcentaur Yeah, sure, whatever. I used to write songs and poetry all the time so I'm just glad to do it again when I get the chance.

                      1. @abigpony The general pattern of the poem is the seven syllables in each line. For the second quatrain/grouping we could vary that slightly, but I want at least every other line to keep the seven syllables.

    2. @dlcentaur ‘Has it ever occurred to you,’ he said, ‘that the whole history of English poetry has been determined by the fact that the English language lacks rhymes?’
