  1. It's interesting how people hated King Sombra for doing nothing, yet these same people fawn over some of the not even interestingly designed background ponies, and to some degree Fluttershy. Mostly the background ponepone though.

    1. @cavatina I don't geet how Flutters enters in here, but yeah, I like King Sombra a lot personally. Maybe it's just because less is more sometimes

      1. @pony I agree, like I found him funny when the episode premiered, but that was more because he was just a ponified Cortex with a bigger crystal fetish. After that, I watched it on my own, and really liked him.

        1. @cavatina Yeah. I think if the show were made for bronies then there'd be some validity to the complaint that we don't see much of Sombra's character, but with the target demographic being much different, I feel it turned out just right. I feel that way even though I, as a more mature viewer, can appreciate greater complexity or whatever because, honestly, I don't watch MLP for its complexity or its depth. I leave that to fanfiction when I want it. Instead I watch the show for it's lightheartedness, simplicity, humor, and the occasional touching scene.

          1. @pony At this point we could probably argue that they are in fact making it for bronies.

            1. @anarchycarcino we could argue that, but I don't think they are, nor would it be wise for them to change the target audience I think. They're mindful of us and I think it's great they service us in episodes etc., but "if it's not broke don't fix it" applies here I feel.

    2. @cavatina I hate everypony so I'm at least consistant!
