  1. That movie was interesting and done a lot better than I thought it was going to be.

    1. @redenchilada Which did you see? I just saw Green Lantern earlier this evening, it was horrid.

      1. @haganbmj 1 good part. that's when he used the Gattling gun. that was it for me.

        1. @gentlegiant It was just a poor film overall. I went in expect a mediocre plot and some decent visuals and was disappointed on both fronts.

          1. @haganbmj meh, a lot of movies made from comics aren't very good. or they get worse over time.

            1. @gentlegiant Yeah - I suppose that is true. I hadn't read the comic before, but a few of my comic-wise friends were certainly bashing the approach they had to the story and the characters. I feel like reading the series now.

      2. @haganbmj We were going to see Rio, but that wasn't showing any more, so we saw the new Cars movie.

        2. @redenchilada I've heard some bad reviews on Cars 2 - but I'm hoping to just see it to judge for myself. I can't accept that Pixar would push through a 'bad' film lol

          1. @haganbmj More than a few of the plot developments borded on "completely absurd", but they actually managed to pull off the whole secret agent thing in a way that works with the characters.

            1. @redenchilada Mmkay, that's a positive at least... They made it 'believable' with the characters.. I had to imagine they would go on the extreme rough though - it probably sells better to children.

    2. @petalbasedweaponry True - it's a marketing dream to have a well received film about cars - they do make for easy products. I did, however, really enjoy Cars 1 so I was hoping it would live up to that. From what I've heard though it didn't have the depth of a normal pixar film - in the way that they can appeal on different levels to kids and adults.

    3. @petalbasedweaponry There's a Wall-E video game that was released at the same time as the movie, and there are most certainly toys for that movie. Toys and movies go together ever since George Lucas accidentally discovered the magic formula when he licensed Star Wars toys.

    4. @petalbasedweaponry lol Transformers 3... There's one I probably won't be looking to see in theaters. I wasn't thrilled with the 2nd (or the 1st really).. perhaps on DVD though.
