  1. I kinda wanna run some awesome con-length game thing at next BFF. Get people with weekend passes, start with a briefing panel the first day, and make it autonomous enough to sustain itself over the con, and announce victors at the end of the con or something. It'd probably be a lot of hassle, though.

    1. @redenchilada Sounds interesting.. not sure myself what could be done.. but some sorta "BroHoof" counter would be neat with certian phone apps..

      1. @tenderheart I'd like to get some ideas planned and come up with something. Might be fun, as long as I can depend on the players sticking around for the whole con.

        1. @redenchilada Here is one... create a set of Derpy Mail letters. And encourage then to pass them on signing there own name. At the end of the con.. one of the "chain letters" is identified as the selected letter and everyone that was in the chain is called up on the closing ceremony and maybe given something simple but unique

          1. @tenderheart That's not much of a game, though... I'm thinking something with encounters, [simulated] battles and stuff. Like an Equestrian Wars or something with a less stupid name.

            1. @redenchilada Make them hit eachother with clubs. Whoever's councious at the end wins.

            2. @redenchilada What ever it is... it must be simple and each "engagement" must be quick and decisive.. as it can;t distract too much from the panels or the con as a whole.

              1. @tenderheart Yeah, it'd have to be a less-than-five-minute thing.

    2. @thatonestocking Dude, let's plan something. Seriously. It could be mad fun.

    3. @thatonestocking @redenchilada What's the date for the next BFF? Now that I'm 18 I'm actually considering flying out there for it.

Saturday, 17-Nov-12 03:23:31 UTC from web
      1. @abigpony I think they're planning early September, but no date's been announced yet.

        1. @redenchilada about the same time as this yeear's, huh?

Saturday, 17-Nov-12 03:25:38 UTC from web
          1. @abigpony Yeah. I hear next year's might be a three-day thing, too.

            1. @redenchilada Well as long as it doesn't cost mad high amounts of money.

              1. @abigpony The chairman is putting conscious effort into keeping the thing cheap to attend.

                1. @redenchilada I h0ope you guys get more guests, too.

                  1. @abigpony I know Peter's working on getting at least a couple show staff to attend next year.

                    1. @redenchilada Better than what you had.

    4. @thatonestocking I'm trying to think of something with a low ability to cheat, preferably one that didn't need a referee so players could just do it whenever.

    5. @thatonestocking Knife fights.

    6. @thatonestocking Oh god I need to be there. BRB stocking on dollars.

Saturday, 17-Nov-12 03:25:29 UTC from web
    7. @thatonestocking Maybe something like that, yeah. I dunno, maybe the competition could be of the participants' own choosing, as long as it's agreed upon by those involved in the matchup and it's fair.

Saturday, 17-Nov-12 03:29:42 UTC from web
    8. @thatonestocking Yeah, I'm thinking something like that. Possibly with a stipulation that if challenged by a fellow contestant, you must accept their challenge, although not necessarily their rules of engagement.

    9. @thatonestocking You know what? Let's start a folder in the Dropbox for this. I wanna develop this concept and propose it as a serious thing for next BFF. Particularly if we could get the rest of the con involved in a non-intrusive way.

Saturday, 17-Nov-12 03:37:13 UTC from web
    10. @thatonestocking Yeah. And depending on what kind of events they have at the con, we could try to get in touch with them to have certain things too.

Saturday, 17-Nov-12 03:38:54 UTC from web
    11. @thatonestocking I actually don't want to explicitly limit that. It'd only be if the panelists were ok with it, though. Like, if two separate teams were participating in Iron Artist or something, it'd be cool if they could bet tokens on the outcome of that.

Saturday, 17-Nov-12 03:41:52 UTC from web
    12. @thatonestocking Yeah, pretty much. I think the rule should be "Do not interrupt other con events with encounters unless approved by those running the event."

      1. @redenchilada Canterlot Gardens had a Derpy delivering letters to the con panels. it was short fun and didn;t derail anything but people on the stream complained.. so they made him stop.. he did the same thing at TrotCon and basically crashed every panel.. but he kept some of the less interesting panels dynamic and interesting

Saturday, 17-Nov-12 03:47:58 UTC from web
    13. @thatonestocking Yeah, that can work. I'll start one up then, just a sec.
