Great. There's a pony con in Toronto. Maybe it will catch fire by luck
-
@renovatedkitchen Which one. There was 2 in Toronto at one point.
-
@abigpony there were? Good thing I didn't know of them. http://canterlotcon.com/
-
@renovatedkitchen Admit it, you're curious
-
@abigpony I'm curious. Might go because my cousin will drag me out. Other than that I have no reason to go
-
@renovatedkitchen Because you want to be part of something bigger. I'm terrible at meetups, hate most of the community, but was SUPER hyped on going to a con. It's like when everyone wants to go to Comic-con, but for specifically ponies.
-
@abigpony I'm terribly anti social. I've caught a glimpse of the Toronto bronies. Something about guys trying to dress up as pinkie pie turned me off. Female apple jacks aren't half bad though. But I have no need for a woman if I get in as a pilot. Shell complain that I'm never there and blah, blah.
-
@abigpony @renovatedkitchen Don't be so hasty to pre-empt a complete stranger's perspective on a relationship. It's actually quite unfair if you thnk about it.
-
@thehighlander doesn't really matter due to how anti social I am
-
@renovatedkitchen You only want to get involved with pony meets to meet a fine lady? You're in the wrong place, pal.
-
@renovatedkitchen oh I missed that one.
-
@abigpony I say, what's the point of going to a pony con. The Toronto bronies are freaks for the most part and I don't want to meet a female.
-
@redenchilada may someone burn it to the ground. There's no point at all to a pony con
-
@renovatedkitchen Hell if I know. What's the point of going to any con? To spend more money once you're there? To meet people with similar interests and attempt to have a good time? Perhaps to meet production staff or something? I think it's just the sense of community it brings with it. everyone's weird in their own way.
-
@abigpony I went to BFF because I was obligated to present a panel with thatonepony, and then I went to a few game panels and bugged the ponykart devs while I was there.
-
@abigpony ya, but anime, or comics are general. These are actual my little pony conventions. I dunno. Lots of people are weird in their own way. Still the Toronto bronies scare me a little.
-
@redenchilada Aye, but you made the panel because you were hyped on the con. You enjoyed the sense of community it brought you.
-
@abigpony I made the panel because he signed us up for it and then dragged me out to it. :/ (I mean, I enjoyed presenting it, don't get me wrong; it just wasn't a voluntary decision to do it)
-
@renovatedkitchen I'd say the SoCal bronies scare me a bit, but they're just like any other group. There are cool people, jerks, creeps. Every pony meet group has them. Also, you are involved with them whether you like it or not by extension. Anime cons and all that are the same deal, this is just more concentrated.
-
@redenchilada You totally at least wanted to go.
-
@abigpony I guess that's true. Maybe it will be a good thing to go, wear my Colgate shirt, seem all approachable then be a jerk. I'll make it fun
-
@abigpony I was kinda flip-flopping between going and staying home until I finally preregistered.
-
@renovatedkitchen Just don't be a jerk. Act normal and don't be afraid to express interest in the show or whatever when people ask. You seem like you can handle not acting like a lunatic.
-
@redenchilada You wanted to go.
-
@abigpony ill try. Unless someone gets on my nerves I'm not a jerk, just plain old pessimistic. Who knows. I'll probably buy some useless overpriced stuffed girls toy. But hopefully it's enjoyable. Yay.
-
@renovatedkitchen Eh. Do whatever you want. I don't want to feel like I'm forcing you to go, you just seem to be hating them unnecessarily.
-
@abigpony who the Toronto bronies?
-
@abigpony is a pony who knows a lot about things.
-
@chibiterasu Well, hello.
-
@chibiterasu Resisting sleep, best friend. Same as always
-
@renovatedkitchen The bronies and the con. It started out as the con, but I suppose it could be applied to the bronies at this point, too. it's all good, though. I was the same way until I went to a con. I'll tell you now that it's better if you actually go with someone you know, though. I just don't understand reasoning behind hating a con. They're all the same thing.
-
@chibiterasu Sleep is that ever faithful friend you choose to ignore
-
@abigpony I don't hate it, just doubt it will be any good. And when guys dress up as pinkie pie and dance around and tell you to smile and stuff its pretty annoying and makes them easy to not like. If it's well set up though it would be interesting to see.
-
@renovatedkitchen I doubt they're that exuberant, but they might be. I dunno about your group. Just remember that you can always tell them to sod off.
-
@abigpony I met them at the anime con here.
-
@renovatedkitchen You go to anime cons. They're the same thing
