  1. I need help.. brony help. I cannot convince my dad MLP is not for just "Little Girls" like the 80'S. He says he's ashamed in me for liking MLP, and using my Graphic Designing skills to make pony art and posting them on Facebook. He's ashamed to see me not be ashamed that I'm a brony.. I told him MLP is a huge fandom, many guys like it, there's Pony Dubstep, Trance, Rap, etc. Also amazing art.. nothing convinces him.. Any idea how to explain to your parents about MLP?

    2. @alexanderthegreat I know that feel, I keep the whole subject away from my family in general. Really dont feel like going through THAT minefield. As for your issue, you should tell him the great things our fandom has done! Like raising boat loads of money for charity! We do awesome things for the community!

    3. @alexanderthegreat Sometimes they just don't get it bud, sometimes parents see things in black in white. It happens in every generation. Just be proud of who you are, your dad will still love you either way, it will take time for him to accept it.

    4. @alexanderthegreat My dad understood when I explained to him that a prolific artist/cartoonist from the nineties (Faust) took on an endeavour to legitimize My Little Pony as a cartoon that doesn't make you roll your eyes every five seconds, resulting in a hilarious show full of pop culture references, characters whose traits and flaws are fully explored, and more or less brings back the nostalgic feel of old looney tunes - culturally relevant backdrops with insane amounts of puns ad slapstick.
