    Is 6GB enough RAM for music production or should I go for 8GB? (I'm looking at 2 computers now and the one with 6GB is better in pretty much every other way)

      @fortecadenza Given how cheap RAM is (unless you're paying apples ludicrous prices) you should just get as much as you can afford.

        @ceruleanspark Well graphics are also important, and the one with 8GB has UMA graphics, the one with 6GB has a Radeon HD 7660 card.

              @fortecadenza get the one with the better graphics card. Replacement ram will be $40 at most /if/ you need it, wheras you can never change out the graphics card.

                @ceruleanspark some laptops allow you to change the graphics card, but it's so hard and expensive its not worth it at all

                @ceruleanspark Okay there are two Kingston 4GB things, but one is £20 and the other is £214. So I'm kind of confused as to what the difference is.

                          @fortecadenza That's RAM for a desktop computer, and I have no idea why it's so overpriced. You'd be best off going here: http://www.crucial.com/index.aspx and filling out the form to find out what fits best in your machine.
