it is funny when people think a light-year measures time
Friday, 30-Nov-12 23:56:00 UTC from web-
@mushi part of that is true
-
@renovatedkitchen nope, that is like saying Km/H measures time
Friday, 30-Nov-12 23:57:20 UTC from web-
@mushi just saying, time is part of the equation
-
@renovatedkitchen that is not what it is used to
Friday, 30-Nov-12 23:58:25 UTC from web-
@mushi time is there, but light speed does not measure time
-
-
@renovatedkitchen It's a part of the equation, but it doesn't measure time.

@zeldatra yeah. That's what I said. I'm just saying that time is in the equation. (I'm trying to kill time)

@mushi is light year not like some distance related thing?
Friday, 30-Nov-12 23:58:20 UTC from web-
@chaosmagic is a distance related thing, but people use it to talk about time. The only time measurement light-year measures is one year

@mushi I think Light-Year is the distance one travels in a single year. It's like 100,000 miles right?
Saturday, 01-Dec-12 00:01:25 UTC from web-
@stormyfacade one light year means the distance is the length of one year, traveling at the speed of light
-
@stormyfacade not at all, Light travels at 3x10^8 km/h, and yead has 32536000 seconds, so it travels way more than that

@mushi Ahhh okay, thanks ^^
