  1. ... are you kidding me. It's not the recovery that was borked, it SEEMS it might be something to do with the boot process WHEN it loads the recovery. So uh. I guess I'm not allowed to switch ROMs anymore.

      1. @renovatedkitchen Actually despite trying lots of Android roms things don't really break as much as you'd think. Worst case scenario I can't update. nothing stopping me from using the rest of the system, but most likely I will be able to fix it by reflashing the boot partition.

          1. @renovatedkitchen yea, my iPhone will always just WORK... i love people facehoofing my phone decisions, but honestly, if you are going to brag about a phone then you need to get you're priorities sorted...

            1. @unhipdruid finally someone who sees it like me. My phone plays music, texts, browses the web and calls. It doesn't do a lot, but what it does it does very well

              1. @renovatedkitchen yes, whoo. it does what we need it to, and maybe me upgrading from a 4 to a 5 some people that see like i do might slap me across the face, but i like to do those things a little faster... thats just me though, doing what i have to faster... i even have my own touch typing method...

                    1. @unhipdruid Yeah, I love mine, and it's hella fast too. I don't have a case yet though, and it's held up pretty well, except for the aluminnum band around the outside got kinda chipped ;< definitly the best thing i've ever used though. It's probably more powerful than some netbooks

                      2. @rainbowdash1x Blah blah durability something that stays in your pocket shouldn't need a case.

                            1. @redenchilada same with my iPhone 4, then one time, it was a bad drop. and SMASH. then i got a case, it lasted a year and like 79 drops without a case though, i am clumsy...

                              1. @unhipdruid iPhones just aren't built to be as durable as a phone needs to be. Plus, comparing my phone to my mom's 4s, it's a noticeably smaller screen and heavier phone. I dunno how the 5 improves on that front, but as far as hardware goes I just think the Galaxy is a better phone. OS is pretty much a toss-up based on preferences, though (Android's more open but less stable. I'm used to things being finicky and I prefer being able to mess with stuff, so.)

          2. @renovatedkitchen Hey you won't find me complaining. It's a personal preference. I just like what I can do with Android. And people like what they can do with their iPhone. :)

Saturday, 15-Dec-12 02:12:10 UTC from web
            1. @neurario I know. My Android doesn't work the way I'd like even after firmware changes (custom roms). They do a lot though. I see why people love them, but personally I prefer iPhone's. Nothing against droid.
