  1. I relisten the soundtrack of Avatar. After such a long time I can say that the soundtrack doesn't impress me that much as it did back then. It is a good soundtrack nonetheless but it lacks the special kind of memorability others have. I think it is because the whole pace of the soundtrack is very slow and the battle music sounds blend and interchangable. "Becoming one of "The People" is the only good track as far as I can see.

    1. @broniebrown i agree. The music sounds great as a score over the movie, but they're not really songs that you'd want to listen to afterward. I love Leona Lewis's song that runs over the credits though.

      1. @elind85 Honestly, this is the worst song on the CD in my opinion. It is very kitschy like a Celine Dion song. In fact it remembers me of "My Heart Will Go On".

        1. @broniebrown well I wouldn't compare it to any other on the CD since the CD is really a score, not a soundtrack. I thought Leona Lewis executed the vocals well though, and it paired well with the aerial scenes running under the credits.

          1. @elind85 OK. It is techically well done. That I must admit. Only the amount of corniness appeals not to me.

            1. @broniebrown i agree it is a bit corny. But as a former musiciani tend to pay most attention to things like the complexity of chord progressions, dyanmics, if the vocalist has good support and tone quality, haha

              1. @elind85 Perhaps I am a bit too spoiled. I was only once in the opera and it was the best one I will ever see. I was in the Vienna State Opera for "L'elisir Amore" during a school trip in Vienna. Anna Netrebko and Rolando Villazón were the main actors/singers. Usually I'm not an opera fan but I had to buy the DVD as it came out. My teacher (very big opera fan) was astounded and amazed by this performance.

                1. @broniebrown have you been to many opera performances since then? This weekend I saw Swan Lake at the metropolitan operahouse >> elind.se/Images/259800_10150226317306498_637856497_7803652_1856025_n.jpg

                  1. @elind85 No I wasn't. I usually don't go to the opera. But still "L'elisir Amore" blew my mind away. And a trip from Germany to New York I cannot afford. Sadly I missed once a performance of the Lord of the Rings orchestra here. I regret this a lot.
