I have a translation/understanding problem: What is a "peculiar injury"? Is it a strange/unordinary injury or a grave/serious one?

@broniebrown Strange/unordinary.

@broniebrown It is an unusual injury.

@nerthos Thank you. I looked-up the word but the translation wasn't very clear in this case.

@ceruleanspark Okidoki. Thanks.

@broniebrown Usually the bewst way to translate a word is to look up the definition in it's language.
-
@nerthos Of course. I often use http://dict.leo.org to translate between German and English and it is very reliable and mostly sufficient for my needs. I had the feeling that "peculiar" could have an extra meaning like "grave" or "serious" in the context of an injury besides being just strange.

@broniebrown I'll keep that one in mind for when I start studying German.

@nerthos For a quick vocabulary check it is great. In my case I should have used my Oxford English-German dictionary that stands in shelf, covered with dust.
