    So, I've been meaning to say this for, like, a month now, but my favorite part of the bus is the retarder. Not because "hurr durr 'retarder' durr hurr," but because it is seriously cool to basically have the engine slow itself if I'm not actively on the gas.

        @colfax Yes, but they don't seem to make nearly as much noise.

          @busdrivergherkin Well, the Jacob's Braking system turns a diesel engine into a compressor, that's how it slows the truck down, and why it makes that much noise, and you can also use it to inflate your tires in an emergency.

      @jjpicklegherkinzombie I'm not sure what definition of "crazy" would be best, here. At any rate, surprisingly few. There was this 50 hear old homeless white rasta guy who was going on about how the gov't put time-release diabetes and Alzheimer's into inoculations.
