@nerthos Can you sleep for half an hour in Oblivion ?
Monday, 18-Feb-13 23:57:48 UTC from web-
@critialcloudkicker No, an hour minimum.
Monday, 18-Feb-13 23:58:26 UTC from web-
@nerthos I really should get myself Skyrim once... as soon as the GOTY hits
Tuesday, 19-Feb-13 00:07:46 UTC from web-
@critialcloudkicker It can be fun, but it's not as good as Morrowind or Oblivion. I guess it's due to the ambientation.
Tuesday, 19-Feb-13 00:09:19 UTC from web-
@nerthos from what i saw, Morrowind has a neat ambientation
Tuesday, 19-Feb-13 00:10:54 UTC from web-
@mushi It's nice, if a bit too fantastic.
Tuesday, 19-Feb-13 00:13:35 UTC from web-
@nerthos i liked the fantastic thing. as long as it is not filled with dragons. Dragons are the most over over over over over used thing ever
Tuesday, 19-Feb-13 00:15:34 UTC from web-
@mushi Dragons? Oh, they're everywhere! You just have to fly very high to see them, the ones near the ground are invisible.

@nerthos Hmm... worse than Oblivion ? I actually never played Morrowind, I shall do that once I can get it to work on a tablet methinks
Tuesday, 19-Feb-13 00:11:08 UTC from web-
@critialcloudkicker In my opinion, Oblivion is the best Elder Scrolls. Some people will say Morrowind is, and I respect their right to be wrong.
Tuesday, 19-Feb-13 00:12:22 UTC from web-
@rarity I am greatly annoyed with the cheesewheel and leveling requirements for min maxing in Oblivion though.
Tuesday, 19-Feb-13 00:13:58 UTC from web-
@critialcloudkicker yeah, the leveling system is kinda dumb.
Tuesday, 19-Feb-13 00:14:53 UTC from web -
@critialcloudkicker All the TES games before Skyrim required careful planning to level up properly.
Tuesday, 19-Feb-13 00:15:02 UTC from web-
@nerthos Well, do not hate me for this, but I only got into the TES games once the "arrow to the knee" meme was still growing... I am also glad I did not before that time for I would have surely succumbed like a crackhead with TES instead of crack. Also I would have reeked worse
Tuesday, 19-Feb-13 00:17:10 UTC from web-
@critialcloudkicker Meh, don't worry, I got into the TES games with Oblivion, which was for the TES fandom the same Skyrim is now. Still, Skyrim is too overly simplified IMO. Oblivion was a nice mid-point between classical TES and action game.
Tuesday, 19-Feb-13 00:18:58 UTC from web-
@nerthos Hmm, yea, I guess I became more of an action-fan over the years. Not that I would mind at all playing Morrowind on a tablet with a napkin and a pen next to it... as soon as I know the secret to leveling up. and what would be bad things to do that are mentioned in the manual.
Tuesday, 19-Feb-13 00:22:13 UTC from web-
@critialcloudkicker In face I look forward to it
Tuesday, 19-Feb-13 00:22:29 UTC from web -
@critialcloudkicker Leveling up is simple. You have to get 10 skill ups from your main attributes and then sleep. The modifiers (+2,+3,+5) are related to how many points you leveled of skills governed by that attribute. Except luck. Luck is always +1, and as such, it's not a wasted point. What you don't have to do is just level up four or five levels at once, since you'll only get multipliers for the first level. Also in morrowind try to level up a weapon skill very fast since below 50 you can miss constantly.
Tuesday, 19-Feb-13 00:26:23 UTC from web-
@nerthos The secondary skills should be leveled along the main ones to get good multipliers
Tuesday, 19-Feb-13 00:27:20 UTC from web -
@nerthos ... Wait, the only thing you really need to do in Morrowind to properly level is use your weapon enough times to become reasonably adapt at poking/hitting/prodding/cuddling/casting with it ?
Tuesday, 19-Feb-13 00:27:45 UTC from web-
@critialcloudkicker Well, if you do that you'll only get a +5 in strenght/dexterity each time and waste levels. You have to try to level up skills of three different governing attributes each level, as to benefit from the multipliers.

@critialcloudkicker Oblivion is simply amazing. The faces are awful, yeah, but I've played and replayed Oblivion like four times and I still enjoy it.
Tuesday, 19-Feb-13 00:13:19 UTC from web-
@nerthos Actually, the faces were not THAT awfull if you asked me... well they all looked the same... but... not THAT awfull still. They would not get a 0.0 in ratemyface ... unlike somepony I know.
Tuesday, 19-Feb-13 00:14:51 UTC from web-
@critialcloudkicker I'm trying this total conversion mod for Oblivion. It's a new game on Obli's skeleton.
