    Dude the hard drive on my Dell Inspiron melted. It's all good though, because it didnt break when I dropped it.

      @zeldatra The funny thing is that the few macbooks which aren't solid state, and thus, immune to falling damage, have sudden drop sensors that protect the hard drive if the machine detects that it's falling.

      @widget I'll leave it to your imagination to work out how I discovered that the dell laptops I purchased for work do not have that feature.

      @widget The Lenovo I got for a manager actually has a 3 axis accelerometer inside, and could actually accurately display the laptops orientation in 3 dimensions.
