@snowcone I didnt expect a lot, but the team behind it really hyped themselves up, got lots of ad time and adspace from several brony sites, and they kind of attempted to elevate their work over other fanwork in their advertising "campaign" for lack of better phrasing. They set the bar, not us.

@snowcone only one thing with the animation I didnt like, the face in the smoke at the beginning. With the high level of quality in the entire thing, I didn't expect that face.

@snowcone Snowdrop stays on topic. Kind of. A lot more, at least. Both lacked any real conflict or tension. Both had an implied "this is what the writers are trying to do" equivalent to conflict and tension that just weren't pulled off right. With the whole process they went through to narrow down and select the best fan animators, it's a wonder these projects are never that dedicated to doing the same for selecting writing talent
