@bowandlyre bottom line is neither side whats to here about any different. im not in for a religion war but im a roman Catholic, often i find myself disliking other Christians simply because they seem to enjoy making a blatant papaya out of themselves! its mildly frustrating.

@ryanjjjj I'm catholic and i can't stand neither sides. Because if I say "yeah I believe in God" people just freak out on me and It's annoying. Christians annoy me because of just how annoying they are and just how they try to "show you the true way" in other words become an insane mofo.

@bowandlyre the secret behind the annoyingness is that their beliefs inform their actions and they identify themselves by their beliefs as opposed to who they are. So when someone rejects their individual interpretation/idea of god, they get offended/angry because they'll always see it as a personal attack on who they are.

@bowandlyre bottom line, your actions will always be informed by your beliefs. If they are not, then you have no reason to believe in whatever you say you do and you're just spitting in the wind. If you believe in something just to believe in something, it's insincere belief and usually self-serving or meant to create/deter acceptance of one's personal views. If you sincerely believe in something in spite of making unsupported claims or having your claims refuted, you need to look at how your beliefs influence how you think, feel and act towards others.

@widget I had this teacher in my christian school who had a pretty insane obssesion. If I ever sat next to her she was praying, she wouldn't let her grandkids use the internet or watch T.V. Because "those are not things of God blah blah blah" Those are the ones I mean... Another example Westboro church thing DX

@bowandlyre ever heard of the man who waited for god? He was sitting on top of his house during a huge flood (modern times), waiting for god to save him. And he prayed, and a boat came by to pick him up. He declined, saying god would save him. Another boat came by, he continued to pray for god to save him. Not much roof left, a helicopter comes down and they offer to pick him up. He stands by his faith in god's power to save him. He eventually drowns and meets god up in heaven. He asks god, "why didn't you save me?" God replies, "I tried to, I sent two boats and a helicopter your way!"
