@nerthos I'm thankful that my "Internet education" came from smart people who weren't afraid to tell me that I was being a retard when I typed like one, and who told me to shut up when I didn't have anything of value to say.

@ceruleanspark Unfortunately people nowadays are too scared of "emotionally hurting the kid" or "not working towards inclusion" when they should be tightening the grip on their kids' educations.

@gervase As appealing as the idea of revolution is to me, it'd be a disaster right now. School education is just a basis for you to pick up on the topics you like and learn more about them of your own free will. Consider it an index as opposed to the contents of the book.

@nerthos Take it from a guy whose three "special talents," if you were, are among the most inflated to specialize in, require among the most training with the exclusion of a few fields, and almost minimal success rate. Music performance, computer programming, and writing are very bad things to be good at. ><
