@redenchilada have you checked your vents? They might be blocked, or your fan isn't working like it should.

@flamingpandaomg The fan is definitely running (pretty loudly at that) but I had it on my lap in bed so it might have been blocked by the bedding. This laptop has terrible heat management, though.

@redenchilada Yeah, I'd try putting it on top of a completely flat surface, like a piece of wood. That bedding would definitely cause it to overheat.

@flamingpandaomg I usually have it on a flat surface anyway and it still runs out. I guarantee you I know what makes the problem worse

@kingofheroes We have a couple oscillating stand-up fans in the house but nothing I could put under a laptop.

@redenchilada Remove the fan from one of those and put it sideways under the laptop.
